Who We Are, and What We Do

The Robotics Association is a student organization at the Daytona Beach campus of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU). RAER is the parent organization of multiple student teams which compete in various competitions around the world.

The Robotics Association competes in 7 different international competitions. These include:

  • AUVSI Foundation Competitions:

    • Maritime RobotX Challenge

    • RoboBoat Competition

    • RoboSub Competition

    • Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition (IGVC)

    • Student Unmanned Aerial Systems Competition (SUAS)

  • NASA Robotic Mining Competition

  • NSF Cyber Physical Systems Challenge

Embry-Riddle is one of the few Universities that competes in almost all of the AUVSI Foundation competitions. The competitions all include a series of complex dynamic events and require students to carefully document their work and present their designs to expert judges from industry and government.

Tours of our labs at the Daytona Beach campus of Embry-Riddle are available 7 days a week, upon request. Please see our contact page to get in touch with someone to schedule a tour.
